Dude was found living outside. He was being fed by a family when he would come up to their back porch to visit. They took him to the vet and it was discovered that he was FIV+. Now we all know that this is neither a death sentence nor anything to fear. When the people decided not to bring him into their home, the veterinarian saw that he was so very sweet that he deserved a chance to find a family of his own. She kept him at her office for 5 months, attempting to find someone to adopt him. With no success, Furkids stepped in to assist Dude in finding his happily ever after. Dude is such a great cat and will make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a feline that will be very devoted and loving. Please consider adopting Dude and making his dream of a forever family come true!
From a volunteer of the FIV suite: This senior boy is one laid back – well – dude. We feel that his crumply ear gives him character, and when combined with those tuxie markings, he's quite handsome. He very much enjoys hanging out near the windows or on the large table in our front room. He'd do best in a home without too much excitement, but a cat (or child) or two should be just fine. He likes to snuggle with other cats, and Jillian is his current girlfriend.
