The Phoenix Care Fund was created by Furkids in 2004 after the loss of a special kitten named Phoenix. Phoenix was born with several birth defects which prevented her from drinking and eating properly. Furkids raised money through volunteers for a special surgery to help correct the birth defects, but during surgery doctors discovered even more problems. Sadly, Phoenix was not able to pull through and crossed the Rainbow Bridge. In honor of Phoenix, the Phoenix Care Fund was created to offset the the costly expenses of special surgeries and life-saving medical treatments for Furkids rescue animals.

Phoenix Care Fund Needs

Smoke: DOB (05/28/07)

Smoke was turned in to Coweta County AC with his sister Gracie. AC was told that he had been caught in a car motor and that he had been in this shape for a while. Furkids volunteers transported him to the vet on intake and he will be on medications for 2 months while we try to clear up the infection in his jaw. Once the infection is cleared up, Furkids will schedule him with a Dental Surgeon that will have to remove a majority of his teeth and perform a skin graft to cover up his lower jaw that is currently exposed.
