Paws for Cocktails – November 10, 2011

Paws for Cocktails was an amazing night! Thank you to everyone that supported us by attending or donating! We had a wonderful time raising money to help our animals! Hundreds of people packed Park Tavern to raise money for our four-legged friends. Nelson Hicks of WSBTV said, “It was a night to have some fun…all in the name of a good cause.”

Cotton States Cat Show – November 5 & 6, 2011

A fun time was had by many at the PartyCats Cat Show and Cotton States Cat Show this year. Furkids kitties won a lot of top ribbons! Plus, judging from the pictures, it looks like they drank up all the attention and loved being in the spotlight. Kitties highlighted in the photos include Fifi, Super Kitty, Gypsy, Conan, and Jesse. Remember, all of these cats are available for adoption — and all have proven themselves show-cat worthy! Are you interested in having a show cat? Then come and adopt one of these sweethearts!

On October 20, 2011, Furkids was honored to partner with the Humane Society of the United States in welcoming Wayne Pacelle, their President & CEO, to Atlanta. He was in town to discuss and sign his best-selling book, The Bond: Our Kinship with Animals, Our Call to Defend Them.

Ninth Anniversary Party

On June 18, 2011, Furkids celebrated its ninth anniversary with a seated dinner and amazing auction. Close to 250 of our friends came out to support us. The auction represented 400 items and had a retail value over $40,000!

The evening was a great success and we want to thank our generous donors that gave for the auction, our incredible volunteers for making it happen and of course our friends that joined us. We want to thank our sponsors: General Electric, Gloria Taylor, Anita Lynn, Rubye and Wayne Reid, Lisa Loewenstein and Dorie Wirtz.
