Furkids operates the largest cage-free, no-kill cat shelter in Georgia. The shelter's monthly operating costs are approximately $7000. You can join the shelter pledge program and help offset these costly expenses. In fact, if 200 people donated $35.00 a month, this would cover our expenses! To make things easy, we can easily set up recurring charges on your account or show you how to use automatic bill pay. SPONSOR THE CAGE FREE, NO-KILL SHELTER 
The cost to run the shelter each day is $225. Can you sponsor the shelter for a day? Pick your birthday, or the day you adopted your cat, or in honor of a special pet or person. Your name will go on the sponsor wall for that day! If you are sponsoring the shelter for the day, please indicate the date you would like to sponsor, and/or if your donation is in memory or honor of a special pet or person. KITTY ANGEL MEMORIALS (click here for list of memorials)
The Kitty Angel Memorial allows individuals to make a donation in honor of a special pet or person in their life. Donations to the Kitty Angel Memorial are set aside for the Phoenix Care Fund - a fund that offsets the cost of life-saving medical treatments and special surgeries for our rescue animals.
If you would like to pay tribute towards a special pet or person in your life, the best way to do so is using your Visa/MasterCard/American Express/Discover card through Paypal on-line, however, you can also mail your donation or call us on the phone.

PHOENIX CARE FUND (click here) The Phoenix Care Fund was created by Furkids in 2004 after the loss of a special kitten named Phoenix. Phoenix was born with several birth defects which prevented her from drinking and eating properly. Furkids raised money through volunteers for a special surgery to help correct the birth defects, but during surgery doctors discovered even more problems. Sadly, Phoenix was not able to pull through and crossed the Rainbow Bridge. In honor of Phoenix, the Phoenix Care Fund was created to offset the the costly expenses of special surgeries and life-saving medical treatments for Furkids rescue animals. WILL AWARENESS PROGRAM
Furkids' Will Awareness Program encourages you to keep your Will up to date. An up to date Will is important so that your wishes can be carried out by people who love and respect you, and want to honor your life. Furkids enourages you, in your will, to consider the welfare of your pets that could be left behind, and that provisions are made in your will for these loved ones. We urge you to keep current your Last Will & Testament so all of your pets that could be left behind will have a friend or No-Kill Shelter to call home. Furkids, with the help of an attorney, developed a codicil (an amendment) for your Will. For a small donation of $10.00, we are pleased to provide this codicil for your use. We encourage you to take this important step in securing the future of your pets. Note: Once your donation has been made, you will be directed to a page that contains the information and link to the codicil download. Your Will: A Gift of Life as a Legacy
A bequest to Furkids is a wonderful way to express your support for animal causes as part of your legacy. Planned giving through a will enables your goals and dreams to continue beyond your lifetime. Without a Will, after your death, your property will be distributed by the laws of your state without regard for your personal wishes. Preparing a will secures your right to have your assets passed on according to your own plans. We realize that your financial and estate plans are private and personal and that a bequest is an important decision. If you decide to include Furkids when writing or revising your will, the following information is offered for your consideration:

The loss of a special pet is one of life's most difficult experiences. More than just an animal, our
pets are trusted confidantes, children, and
faithful pals. Sharing thoughts of a special pet is important
in coming to terms with the loss of an animal companion, and
helps others going through similar experiences.
The unexpected and tragic death of a Furkids friend, Peg Jones, has left a void in our lives. Her death also left behind six cats without a mother and home: Phoebe, Josephine, Abigail, Sarah, Lilah and Simon. The Furkids Shelter is their new home and the beginnings of a new program to honor all those who have gone before their beloved pets.
