Featured Furkid – Harpo

Harpo is an adorable 10-month-old torti-point Snowshoe with beautiful blue eyes.  She, her brother Groucho and sister, Chico were trapped by a Furkids volunteer from a feral colony. Both Groucho and Chico have already been adopted!  Initially, she was timid and unsure of herself, but with love and encouragement she became a happy, playful kitten.  She loves cuddling with her siblings and lazing in her hammock.  Feathered toys fascinate her, but she’ll always drop what she’s doing when the food dish rattles. So far she’s only been exposed to other cats, but she’s a very adaptable girl.

Harpo was entered in the Southern Sophisticats TICA-sanctioned cat show held in Forest Park April 14-15 where she garnered a first place ribbon, four second place ribbons and a number of other awards. The judges were charmed by her unusual looks and one even christened her a “secret calico”, saying she was a Siamese until you got to the end of her tail and it’s adorable orange tip.

Remember that most kittens need the companionship of another kitten or young cat in order to grow into well-adjusted adults. Please consider the many benefits of adopting a pair!  Adoption fees are reduced 50% this month, so Harpo’s adoption fee is only $62.50! We’re happy to help you find the perfect match! She’s beautiful! I already have 3 cats (all ex-feral or born to a feral mom) in a very small space, so I will reluctantly leave her for someone else to love.

One of my neighbors is from Seattle; she regularly ships dogs to people there, who eagerly accept them into their homes. There seems to be an endless number of homes for them there. Shall I put her in touch with you?

Blessings to you, and thanks for all you do!
